GaitKeeper™ rehab treadmills are designed with therapists and patients in mind. The unique design performs with great strength at very low speeds of ambulation, and delivers this performance at an affordable cost. Our models feature high torque, accurate speed, adjustable inclines, MoveAble control panels, and true zero start.

Performance

The smart mechanical design utilizes a 3 HP motor delivering unsurpassed drive torque. This is powerful enough to move a 400 pound patient at speeds as low as 0.1 mph.

Speed

• Zero Start capability is a must for rehab. It allows patients to stand on the belt when starting the treadmill. Patients do not need to straddle the belt when safely supported in LiteGait.
• True Zero Start Speed ranges from 0.1 to 6.0 mph and is adjustable in 0.1 mph increments. Speed is calibrated accurately at even the lowest rates - important in the rehab setting.
  

Platform

Platform Option

Improve the ergonomics of the therapist facilitation of an involved patient walking on the treadmill by raising the treadmill walking surface.   GaitKeeper Treadmills are available in Platform version so the walking surface is permanently elevated to a 14 inches step. Seated on a stool (see Gaiter Stool), the therapist can access patient’s feet, ankle and knee without excessive bending to reach the ground.  This option eliminates the incline function and reduces the maximum height of patient by 8 inches.

TreadRiser

TreadRiser  is a removable add-on for GaitKeeper that raises the treadmill surface to 12 inches when you need it and is removed when you need the incline or the patient does not require intensive facilitation.  It simply makes use of the incline motors to raise the heavy end of the treadmill.  The user then raises the lighter end of the treadmill just to place it over a specially designed light weight support legs that secure the treadmill in a horizontal surface a foot off the ground.

• Turns your GaitKeeper into an elevated platform system.
• Allows you to use GaitKeeper as regular treadmill when you want and easily convert to platform system.
• Use electronic elevation control on GaitKeeper to liftup heavier motor end.
• Manually lift up lighter weight end of the treadmill and insert TreadRiser (Setup height 12 inches).

GaitKeeper Adjustable Handle Bars

Treadmill handle bar packages provide a handle bar extension that can easily be adjusted to multiple positions to better support your patient.
