LiteGait Upgrades Available From Mobility Research
Actuator Upgrade
LiteGait actuators literally
do the heavy lifting and despite that they last a very long time. However, they are
electromechanical devices and subject to wear and tear. The motor heats up, drawing power
to turn the screw which a nut travels on while being protected from the
bending load of patient weight by the concentric aluminum boxes on the
exterior. The exterior covers
the moving parts inside so the wear and tear is on the inside hidden from
visual inspection. While the
scheduled maintenance could be performed by the manufacturer, the cost has
to be compared to the cost of new replacement.
Our new double actuated
actuators retract to a height perfect for lifting someone from a chair
while having an additional 4 to 8
inches more stroke to go over most
treadmills and return any patient back to a chair.
