Advanced Pediatric BWS-TT:
Clinical applications, treatment plans, expected outcomes

Ginney Paleg, MPT
Ginny Paleg PT, MPT, DScPT

This advanced level course is designed for clinicians that have been using Body Weight Supported Treadmill Training in their clinical practice and preferably have attended an entry-level course.
The clinician will gain an understanding of how to modify clinical protocols when expected progress is not being made. Problem solving strategies will include a review of spasticity, orthotics, gait trainers and use of compression garments, as they apply to BWS-TT.

Clinicians will review and discuss cases using videos and recently published articles. The afternoon will be spent with children provided by the hosting facility. Each patient volunteer will go through an assessment & problem solving treatment session. Emphasis will be placed on the child who is not meeting goals. Clinicians will return to their caseloads with new excitement about BWS-TT and new ideas how to improve outcomes and implement programs in schools, in homes, for early intervention, in clinics, gym classes and rehab centers.
