Optimizing Outcomes for Body Weight Supported Therapies

This course is designed to enable physical and occupational therapists to devise systemic applications of ultrasound, electrical stimulation and kinesio taping for specific impairments of the movement system. Impairments discussed in the course will include inflammation and edema, spasticity and contractures, pain, and muscle weakness. Resolution of these musculoskeletal and neurological impairments will promote optimal participation in Body Weight Support training for functional task performance and mobility. Participants will learn to improve the identified impairments and accelerate achievement of functional rehabilitation goals. The course will be presented through powerpoint with handouts along with hands on learning
